Bioclinica is looking for a Ph.D. scientist in biomedical engineering, physics, neuroscience (or related field) with five-plus years of hands on experience in medical imaging, including by not limited to PET, SPECT, Novel Tracers or MRI (structural, fMRI, DTI, ASL). It is looking for a candidate with a solid understanding of molecular imaging and nuclear medicine physics who will work with its neuro-radiologists, physicists, scientists, software engineer, and operational specialist on the medical imaging endpoints for neuroscience clinical trials including study documentation, scan acquisition, quality control and image analysis.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by:

  • Working with Bioclinica's neuro-radiologists, physicists, scientists, software engineers, and operational specialists on the medical imaging endpoints for neuroscience clinical trials including study documentation, scan acquisition, quality control and image analysis
  • Evaluating, training, and supporting imaging facilities participating in Neuroscience clinical trials

Supports Innovation and Business Development by:

  • Leading the deployment of advanced Imaging acquisition to heterogeneous imaging facilities worldwide
  • Assisting the scripting and execution of large image data processing and analysis routines and publication of the results
  • Supporting innovation and business development efforts

Secondary Responsibilities

Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by

  • Reading, understanding and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures ("SOP")
  • Assisting in enforcing departmental standards

Contributes to team effort by

  • Working with internal staff to resolve issues
  • Providing technical support to operational specialists in their interaction with imaging facilities
  • Helping others to achieve results
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Maintains Technical and Industry Knowledge by

  • Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training
  • Supporting abstract and manuscript preparation

Requirements

Education:

  • Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, physics, neuroscience, or related field

 

Experience:

  • Five-plu years hands-on experience in medical imaging, including but not limited to PET, SPECT, Novel Tracers or MRI (structural, fMRI, DTI, ASL)
  • Working knowledge and solid understanding of molecular imaging and nuclear edicine physics and terminology across vendors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability in manipulation, processing and analysis of imaging data
  • Proven ability in problem solving
  • Demonstrated programming skills a plus (MATLAB and Python)

 

Additional skill set:

  • Ability to work in group setting and independently; ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail and orientation toward meticulous work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to project and maintain a professional and positive attitude

Experience:

  • Two-plus years' experience in medical imaging
  • Working knowledge and solid understanding of radiography, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound imaging
  • Working knowledge of GCH, ICH guidelines and FDA regulations highly preferred
  • Demonstrated programming skills a plus (eg, MATLAB)
  • Proven ability in manipulation, processing, and analysis of imaging data
  • Proven ability in problem solving
